My husband and I both grew up in the Bowie. We went to Bowie public schools, and I am raising three wonderful children in Bowie. I LOVE this city! That's why I am running for re-election.
I am dedicated to making our city a better place to live, work, recieve an education, raise a family and enjoy reitrement. I bring new ideas and a fresh persepective for moving this city forward so that it is the best in Maryland.
I am a strong voice for fiscal responsibility!
Oppossed entering the bond market for $15.5M in debt for new cityhall/police department facility without first obtaining tax payer approval through referendum;
City Representative before Public Service Commission advocating for amendments to minimize BG&E trimming and PREVENT front yard pole installations;
Firm advocate for development of comprehensive vehicular speeding programs, including increased enforcement and city-owned traffic calming devices;
Proponent for agressive enforcement for code violations especially for public nuiance and noise;
Strong advocate for assuring that basic city services are never diminished or compromised;
Help develop a city wide Senior Survey so future policy decisions can be made based on information directly from the many seniors in our community;
Redesign Whitemarsh Park - believe in and will work hard for a well developed city budget that will help ensure that we can meet the recreational needs of our children and families.
